Thank y’all for everything and congratulations for those high-quality employees.
I have received aquatics & rehab services at the First Colony location for 6 months (since June 2022) until today (Dec. 20, 2022). I want to express my deep appreciation for the nature of such services received from basically a few of your therapist employees: Megan, Tristan, and Kaitlyn. Their service was highly professional, and I found those 3 to be quite knowledgeable with great communication and work-ethic skill sets. I am retired and worked for 42 years, and can say with high confidence that those 3 are quite a credit to your organization, as they would be to any company. Thank y’all for everything and congratulations for those high-quality employees.

Thank you also for making me feel so welcome every time I come in.
When I started PT, I was very skeptical.
I knew I needed to do something for my back, neck, shoulders, and knee. Shoulder and neck pain were chronic and I thought I had to live with that pain.
I hurt my back on a trip handling my luggage, so bad that I could hardly walk. I am not a complainer and can take a lot but that was more than I could handle.
My orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Parr prescribed P.T. for my shoulders, neck and also to help strengthen my knee as I need a partial knee replacement. Dr. Myers’s assistant said I need PT to help me with my back. I was skeptical as my back pain was so great and could not see how PT could possibly help me. When starting at the First Colony Aquatic Rehabilitation Center, I was impressed with Sean as he came across that he liked his job and knows what he is talking about.
When I explained to him how I have trouble laying straight on my back and my shoulder issues. He said, I can help you and HE DID. At that moment I was a true believer.
I felt comfortable speaking with Sean and told him I desperately need to lose weight. I was afraid to use a personal trainer at a gym as I did not want to aggravate the problems I have and make it worse with the wrong exercise. He said they can help. Once again, I was so impressed and thankful.I started the Metabolic and Cardiac Health program. I am still in the middle of it but boy do I already see a tremendous improvement. I already lost inches but more importantly I feel so much better physically. Every exercise is geared towards my needs and it is a workout. I am so happy to do it as it is helping me so much. My chronic pain in the neck and shoulder is almost totally gone. That in itself is like a miracle to me.What I also like a lot, working with a professional dietitian in addition to my exercises. I did not get a diet plan like you get doing all the different diets that are offered and I have probably done most of them. Eat a grapefruit or eat this and that…No, this one is not like it. I sent Dr. Behrens, a registred dietitian my plan of what I ate and she works with me on quantity and quality of food based on my personal eating habits. I am German and yes, I still eat like a German and I cook a lot of German food. I love working with Dr. Behrens as I feel she understands me and my German eating habits.I LOVE working out at the First Colony Aquatic Rehabilitation Center as everyone makes me feel so welcome.
Bottom line and this comes from the heart as I am not very good in expressing my feelings:
I am so grateful to Sean and his team, what a difference they have made in my life. I feel so much better; so much less pain and yes, the fewer inches is fantastic. Still more ahead of exercising and learning to eat right. So excited and looking forward to see the real me again (that is the one with less weight, less or no pain).
Thank you and Dankeschoen to Sean, Randy and his excellent team.
Thank you also for making me feel so welcome every time I come in.

Thank you so much!
When I first came to First Colony Aquatic & Rehab, I could barely make it with a walker. After starting therapy, I quickly progressed to using a cane and now I walk most times without the cane and only have a very slight limp. Thank you so much!

I still had bouts of dizziness but now I haven’t had any dizziness for over two weeks. You guys are awesome!
When I started therapy, I had just had a baby and due to my sever dizziness/vertigo, I was unable to get out of bed to care for my baby unless I took medication around the clock. Now I haven’t taken any medication for almost 3 weeks. I can function completely normal with no vertigo and I feel great! Even when I was taking the medication before I started therapy, I still had bouts of dizziness but now I haven’t had any dizziness for over two weeks. You guys are awesome!

I went to visit Dr. Edwards for a checkup and he was very pleased to see my progress in a short period of time.
Since I got hurt on my right shoulder, and went through the surgery in 2009 performed by a local orthopedic doctor. He referred me to see the physical therapist in the same building. Without knowing the ins and outs for what to look for, I went through the therapy for about three months but came out with very little results.Again, my right shoulder was operated on in 2011 by another well-known Dr. Bradley Edwards in Houston and he referred me to see First Colony Aquatic & Rehabilitation Center in Sugar Land. Before joined the facility, I wanted to be sure if they were equipped with the proper equipment, if it was a healthy environment, with well-qualified and trained personnel. I am very luck and fortunate to have joined this facility. Now, with personal care by the therapist I am bringing my life back to normal. My shoulder is getter better and better each day. I am able to lift more than I was capable of lifting in a very short period of time. This is all due to personal attention and staying committed to the physical exercises and therapy. Last week, I went to visit Dr. Edwards for a checkup and he was very pleased to see my progress in a short period of time.

I received from the staff at First Colony Aquatic and Rehabilitation Center.
At the beginning of my cardiac rehabilitation I had limited strength and cardiac resilience. The approach that the staff uses addressed these problems and I am currently cleared to return to normal activities and my cardiac output has returned to normal levels. I am very grateful for the help and education I received from the staff at First Colony Aquatic and Rehabilitation Center.

Thank you to First Colony Aquatic and Rehabilitation Center and especially to Megan and Randy who have helped me a lot when I first came. I suffered an amputation below my right knee and I was in a wheelchair. I started therapy to be able to walk again with a prosthetic leg. They helped me from the beginning, giving me confidence to go on. It was very difficult for me to stop using the wheelchair because what was left from my leg and knee was hurting too much, but with PT and the help from FCAR team, I was able to make progress. Now I have started to walk and I have less pain on my leg and I feel more secure within myself.

I started working out with a trainer because I wanted to be fabolous for my 30th birthday. While doing that exercise with my trainer, my knee popped. I had a torn ACL and had to have surgery. I decided to do post-surgical rehab at First Colony Aquatic. I was very comfortable at the center, but initially I thought that it would hurt. After coming for my first visit (three days out of surgery), I realized that it did not hurt like I thought it would. They encouraged me and help me to know that I would get better. They helped me to regain my range of motion while cheering me on the whole way. I am back to doing normal activities again.

I was injured at work as a tow truck driver/mechanic. While helping to push a stalled car, I was hit by another car and was crushed. The doctors were able to save my legs, but I was in pain and left without mobility. Before the accident, I was active and athletic, but I was not having any progress in my bones healing. My doctor recommended aquatic and physical therapy to get me back to standing and walking. I started with pool therapy. My first goal was to stand up and they helped me get there. My second goal was to walk without any support. My final goal is to run. They gave me trainings that helped to strengthen my muscles. I am now walking and back on my feet!

I had spinal stenosis and had to have surgery. I was left having trouble walking and my doctor recommended that I try aquatic therapy. They had me do therapeutic exercises and I am now feeling much better. I am glad that I made the decision to get better. I am also so happy that they were able to get to the root cause of my issues and my pains.

I thought that I would always have pain in my knees. After coming to First Colony Aquatic and Rehabilitation Center, I am now able to do normal activities pain-free. I am walking without pain. It has been life changing for me!

They determined the root cause of the pain of my husband’s pain. They found the correct course for him to get better. After he had surgery, they were able to give him the right course of action to get him back to doing normal activities again. He was told that he would not be able to walk again. He started out in aquatic therapy and now he is able to walk again! It is just phenomenall!!

They knew what to do to get me back to being me.
Before I started therapy, I was losing control of my body. I was having trouble doing basic things. Since coming to First Colony Aquatic, I have been getting back to normal. They knew what to do to get me back to being me.
